ALA accredited breeders have just expanded their mandatory DNA health testing practices

In a new policy that takes effect 1 December 2013, all ALA registered breeding dogs will now be health tested to even higher standards. The ALA now requires its members to screen breeding dogs not only for hip and elbow dysplasia and Progressive Retinal Atrophy but also a further 9 inheritable conditions that are found in our parent breeds: Labrador, Poodle and Cocker Spaniel.
